A RESOLUTION CALLING PUBLIC HEARING ON
RECOMMENDATION OF THE PLANNING BOARD
THAT SECTION 8-1 .B6 OF ZONING ORDINANCE
NO. 1891 BE AMENDED BY ADDING NEW
PROVISIONS FIXING MINIMUM DIMENSIONS FOR
COMMERCIAL SWIMMING POOLS
WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Miami Beach,
at a Public Hearing held on September 25, 1973, approved a
proposed amendment to the City ' s Zoning Ordinance No. 1891,
whereby Section 8-1.B6 be amended by adding a new provision
thereto fixing minimum dimensions for a commercial swimming pool
at 450 sq. ft. , with a minimum width of 15 ft. and a minimum
length of 30 ft. , and that the walkway shall have a minimum of
4 ft. around the pool , exclusive of the coping, and
WHEREAS , said action of the Planning Board has been
duly transmitted to the City Council pursuant to Section 16 of
said Zoning Ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a Public Hearing for
the consideration of said proposed amendment to said Zoning
Ordinance is hereby called to be held before the City Council
at its Chambers in the Cypress Room of the Convention Hall,
Miami Beach, Florida, beginning at the hour of 2 : 30 o ' clock, p.m. ,
on the 16th day of January, 1974 , and the City Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to publish an appropriate Public Notice
of said Public Hearing to be published in a newspaper of general
circulation in the City of Miami Beach, at which time and
place all interested parties will be heard.
