A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY ATTORNEY TO INSTITUTE
CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS AGAINST LOTS
7, 8 AND 9 , BLOCK 1 , AMENDED PLAT OF
SECOND OCEANFRONT SUBDIVISION.
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, deems it to be necessary for the welfare of said City
and the inhabitants thereof to acquire for public parks ,
recreational and other appropriate public purposes , the
following described parcel of land situate , lying and being
in Miami Beach, Dade County, Florida, to wit:
Lots 7 , 8 and 9 , Block 1 , AMENDED PLAT
OF SECOND OCEANFRONT SUBDIVISION, as
recorded in Plat Book 28 , at page 28 ,
of the Public Records of Dade County,
Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that it is necessary that
the fee simple title to the above described property be acquired
for public parks , recreational and other appropriate public
purposes , for the benefit of the said City and its inhabitants ,
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Attorney be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to institute the necessary legal
proceedings , under the provisions of Chapter 74 , Florida
Statutes , in the name of the said City in the exercise of its
right of eminent domain for the condemnation of said described
parcels of land for the purposes hereinabove set forth.
