RESOLUTION NO. 74-14266
A RESOLUTION CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON MARCH 6,
1974 , TO CONSIDER AMENDMENT TO ZONING ORDINANCE
NO. 1891, AS RECOMMENDED BY THE PLANNING BOARD
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH.

WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, is considering the recommendation of the Planning Board
that Section 8-1 B. 6 of Ordinance No . 1891, being the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of Miami Beach, be amended appropriately
so as to permit swimming pools to be built so as to allow pool
decks to extend to the rear property line when abutting upon any
bay or canal areas; and also to amend Section 6-1 E. 2 thereof
so as to permit side lot areas to be as follows:
The sum of the side yard width shall be at
least 25% of the lot width but no side yard
adjacent to a street shall be less than
15 ft. and no interior side yard shall be
less than 7. 5 ft. except that where an
existing building has a 5 ft. side yard
setback be allowed to follow the existing
building line for an addition to said building.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a public hearing is hereby
called to be held before the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, beginning at 2:15 p.m. , on the 6th day of March,
1974 , in the Council Chambers , Cypress Room, in the Miami Beach
Convention Hall South, at which time and place all interested
parties will be heard.
