RESOLUTION NO. 74-14270
WHEREAS , the City of Miami Beach is the owner
in fee simple of the following described parcel of land
to wit:
The southeasterly most 8. 8 acres (measuring
approximately 673 . 2 feet by 671. 4 feet) of
the northeast one fourth of Section 32 ,
Township 51 South, Range 42 East. Said
lands lying immediately north of an existing
tile plant.
WHEREAS , the City Manager has found and determined
that there is no immediate need for said parcel of land at
the present time nor in the reasonably foreseeable future,
and has recommended to the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach that the best interests of the City require
that said parcel be leased for a period not to exceed
ten (10) years with usual covenants pertaining to the use,
and the conditions pertaining thereto and for the payment
of appropriate rentals ,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, that said recommendation be and the same is hereby
accepted and approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, that the City Manager be and he is author-
€ ized and directed to publicly advertise bids for the leasing
of said parcel of land with the express condition setting
forth that no bid less than $20,000 for annual rental will
be considered and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, that the City Manager, be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to advise the City Council as to
the results of such advertising for bids together with
his recommendations thereon.
