RESOLUTION NO. 74-14300
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF
AGREEMENT WITH STANDARD OIL COMPANY FOR
PETROLEUM PRODUCTS FOR A PERIOD OF ONE (1)
YEAR.
WHEREAS , under the rules and regulations of the
Federal Energy Office ' s "Mandatory Petroleum Allocation
Summary" dated January 15, 1974, competitive bids for
fuels is forbidden even by "Governmental Agencies", and
WHEREAS, Dade County was unable to obtain
competitive contracts by reason of the foregoing, and
WHEREAS , Standard Oil Company has submitted a
Memorandum of Consumer Agreement to the City governing
gasoline and other petroleum products for the period of
March 1, 1974 through February 28, 1975, the terms and
provisions of which are familiar to the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the
Mayor and the City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized
and directed to execute and deliver said agreement for and
on behalf of the City of Miami Beach.
