Resolution 74-14321 RESOLUTION NO. 74-14321 WHEREAS , on January 16 , 1973 , one Edward Grant, a City of Miami Beach employee, injured his back and ankle, when the truck in which he was riding made a sudden stop. WHEREAS , said employee was examined by Drs. Grossman, Sarasohn, Mirow, Turbin, and Neal, and WHEREAS, it is the opinion and recommendation of the City Attorney that it is in the best interest of the City to enter into a settlement under the provisions of FSS 440. 20 (10) , as amended, 1967 , such settlement to be in the amount of $2 , 218. 25. $1 ,732. 50 of this amount for the permanent partial disability to his body as a whole and all past, present or future compensation and medical benefits due Mr. Grant, $225. 00 payable to Dr. Mirow for services rendered to Claimant, $240. 75 as a reasonable attorney ' s fee and $20. 00 as court reporter fee, and WHEREAS , the Order of the Judge of Industrial Claims approving such settlement stipulation will not be subject to modi- fication or review, and WHEREAS , the City Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City to enter into a final settlement stipulation as herein before set forth, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE r; CITY OF MIAMI BEACH , FLORIDA, that the City Attorney be authorized to enter into final settlement stipulation with EDWARD GRANT and his attorney, and if said settlement is approved by a Judge of Industrial Claims , the Mayor, City Clerk, Finance Director and the City Attorney be, and they are hereby authorized and directed to comply with the Order of the Judge approving said stipulation. PASSED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of April , 1974 .
