RESOLUTION NO. 74-14343
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING HOLIDAYS FOR CITY
EMPLOYEES; PROVIDING THAT FLOATING HOLIDAYS
SHALL BE USED ON A PAY PERIOD BASIS RATHER
THAN A CALENDAR YEAR BASIS; REPEALING
RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, has
heretofore designated holidays for the employees of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, to wit:
Holiday Designated Date
New Year' s Day January 1
Washington's Birthday 3rd Monday in February
Memorial Day Last Monday in May
Independence Day July 4
Labor Day 1st Monday in September
Veteran's Day 4th Monday in October
Thanksgiving Day 4th Thursday in November
The Friday immediately following
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas December 25
Dr, Martin L. King's Birthday January 15
or a Floating Holiday (at
the employee's option)
during each calendar year
Employee's Birthday
2 Floating Holidays (to be
selected by each employee,
subject to his department
head's approval , during
each calendar year)
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has passed and adopted resolutions from
time to time making certain revisions,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, that the holidays granted to the employees of said
City shall henceforth be as follows, to wit:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all Resolutions in conflict herewith
be and the same are hereby repealed.
