A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, REQUESTING
METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY TO SUBSIDIZE PART
OF THE OPERATIONAL COSTS AND EXPENSES FOR
THE BEACH PATROL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH.
WHEREAS, all of the residents of Metropolitan Dade County
have access to, and extensively use the public beaches of the City of
Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, the majority of citizens using the public beaches
in the City of Miami Beach are in fact not residents of Miami Beach ,
but of greater Metropolitan Dade County; and
WHEREAS, all citizens of Metropolitan Dade County are pro-
tected and served by the Beach Patrol of the City of Miami Beach;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that Metropolitan Dade County
assist in subsidizing part of the operational costs and expenses of
the Beach Patrol of the City of Miami beach.
