A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
AGREEMENT WITH MORRIS LAPIDUS ASSOCIATES
FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES IN CONNECTION
WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN ADDITION TO
THE SOUTH SHORE COMMUNITY CENTER.
WHEREAS , in connection with the addition to the South
Shore Community Center, said addition being a multi-purpose
room, it is necessary to retain appropriate architectural
services , and
WHEREAS , an appropriate agreement with Morris Lapidus
Associates has been prepared and has been approved as to form
by the City Attorney, providing for said architectural services ,
the terms and conditions of which are set forth in the said
agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part
hereof, and
WHEREAS , the City Manager has recommended to the City
Council that said Agreement be entered into, and
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
deems it to be in the best interest of the City and its
residents to enter into said Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and
the City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed
to execute and deliver said Agreement for and in the name of
the City of Miami Beach, Florida; and that the financial
officers of the City be and they are hereby authorized and
directed to make the disbursements called for in accordance with
the provisions of said Agreement.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 1st day of May, 1974 .
