Resolution 74-14381 RESOLUTION NO . 74-14381
WHEREAS , the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a Lease
Agreement with SPANISH INTERNATIONAL NETWORK dated March 14 , 1974 ,
for Closed Circuit Telecast--Soccer Semi-Finals on June 13 , 15,
18 , 19 and 26, 1974 , and
WHEREAS , the SPANISH INTERNATIONAL NETWORK has requested
that the hours set for June 15, 1974 , noon-6 : 00 p.m. , be changed
to 9 : 00 a.m. -3: 00 p.m. ; and the hours set for June 26 , 1974 , noon-
6 : 00 p.m. , be changed to 9 : 00 a.m. -6 : 00 p.m. and two (2) performan-
ces instead of one (1) that day, and
WHEREAS , the requested hours are open and available and
no loss to the CITY of rental is involved in the additional hours
requested, and
WHEREAS , all other terus and conditions of the existing
Agreement shall remain the same except the payment terms shall be
as follows :
"Lessee agrees to pay the sum of Four
Thousand Eight Hundred and no/100 ($4 , 800 . 00)
Dollars or twelve (12%) per cent of gross
receipts from sale of admission tickets,
after taxes , whichever sum is greater based
on One Thousand Four Hundred Fifty and no/100
($1 ,450 . 00) Dollars or twelve (12%) per cent
for two (2) performances in one (1) day
instead of One Thousand and no/100 ($1, 000 . 00)
Dollars or twelve (12%) per cent of gross
receipts from sale of admission tickets ,
after taxes , whichever sum is greater for
one performance. An additional payment of
Four Hundred Fifty and no/100 ($450 . 00)
Dollars will be due upon signing of the lease
amendment thereby making the total deposit on
this lease agreement Two Thousand Eight Hundred
and no/100 ($2 , 800 . 00) Dollars . " ,
and
WHEREAS , a letter, signed by the Executive Director of
the Miami Beach Convention Center, dated April 9 , 1974 , amending
the existing Agreement between SPANISH INTERNATIONAL NETWORK and
the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, has been mailed to and accepted by
SPANISH INTERNATIONAL NETWORK.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH , FLORIDA, that the letter dated April 9 ,
1974 , signed by the Executive Director of the Miami Beach Con-
vention Center, amending the existing Agreement between SPANISH
INTERNATIONAL NETWORK and CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, be and the same is
hereby accepted and approved in the name of and on behalf of said
CITY.
