A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF TWO
APPOINTEES TO THE PRIVATE INDUSTRY
COUNCIL OF SOUTH FLORIDA~ UNDER THE
PROVISIONS OF THE 3OB TRAINING
PARTNERSHIP ACT.
WHEREAS, the City o! Miami Beach, by its Resolution ttS3-17319,
passed and adopted April 20, 1983, appointed six (6) persons to the Private Industry
Council o! South Florida (PIC); and
WHEREAS~ the City o! Miami Beach, by its Resolution No. 83-
173tH, passed and adopted May 17, 1983, provided for fixed and staggered terms
for said appdintments; and
WHEREAS, the following two appointments/seats, whose terms
expire 3une 30, 1986~ are occupied by appointees who no Ion§er represent their
affiliations at the time of appointment:
and
Private Sector - Services: Mr. Marlo De Rey
Public Sector - Economic Development: Ms. Gladys Kane
V/HEREAS, the City Commission deems it to be in the best interest
of the City of Miami Beach, its citizens and residents, to maintain its
representation on the PIC;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the appointments of Mr. Marlo
De Rey and Ms. Gladys Kane are hereby withdrawn, and that Mr. Sylvan Meyer and
Mr. Stuart Rogel are hereby appointed, to the PIC, to fill the two seats whose
terms expire 3une 30, 1986, respectively.
