99-23201 RESO RESOLUTION NO. 99-23201 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, SETTING A FIRST READING PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER A PROPOSED ZONING MAP CHANGE CONSISTING OF: An Ordinance of the Mayor and City Commission of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, Amending the Official Zoning District Map, Referenced in Section 142-72 of the Code of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, by Changing the Zoning District Classification for the Property at 250 W. 63rd Street (A/KJA St. Francis Hospital Site) from the Current Zoning District Classification HD Hospital District, to the Proposed Zoning District Category RM-PRD2 Multiple Family, Planned Residential Development; Amending the Affected Portion ofthe City's Official Zoning District Map to Correspond with this Change as Adopted by the City Commission; Providing for Repealer, Severability and an Effective Date. WHEREAS, the Planning Board considered the ordinance at its May 25, 1999 meeting, and reviewed the amendment; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 118-164 of the Code of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, in cases in which the actual list of permitted, conditional or prohibited uses within a zoning category, or a change to the actual zoning map designation for a parcel or parcels of land is proposed, the City Commission shall provide for public notice and hearings by holding two advertised public hearings on the proposed ordinance, at least one hearing held after 5 :00 p.m. on a weekday; and WHEREAS, as this required public hearing requires 30 day mailed notice, to enable the City Commission to hear the proposed amendment in a timely manner on first reading at its July 20, 1999 meeting, the Administration is requesting that the public hearing be set at this time; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a first reading public hearing to consider a Zoning Map Change rezoning the subject area, is hereby scheduled on Wednesday, July 20, 1999 at 5:30 p.m. in the City Commission Chambers at 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish and distribute the appropriate public notice of said public hearing at which time all interested parties will be heard. RECOMMENDATION The Administration recommends that the City Commission set the required first reading public hearing for 5:30 P.M. on July 21, 1999 for this proposed Zoning Map Change rezoning the subject property, the St. Francis Hospital, as more particularly referenced above, from the existing future land use category HD Hospital District to the RM-PRD2 Residential Planned Residential Development zoning category. BACKGROUND On June 2, 1999 the Planning Board held a public hearing, and reviewed this proposed change of the Zoning Map. .
