The purpose of this Letter to the Commission is to invite the Mayor and Commissioners to
the Police Department's Fifth Annual Citizens Stand Against Crime Event on Wednesday,
October 30, 2002 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The "Citizens Stand Against Crime" is an annual event coordinated by the Police
Department's Crime Prevention Office in conjunction with communities throughout the tri-
county area. This event helps to promote police/community partnerships, crime and drug
awareness, citizen safety and neighborhood unity. Attached, you will find the program
agenda.
It is truly in the spirit of getting to know your neighbors and meeting members of the law
enforcement community.
