2002-25023 Reso RESOLUTION NO. 2002-25023 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, WAIVING, BY 5/7THS VOTE, THE FORMAL BID PROCESS, FINDING SUCH WAIVER TO BE IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CITY, AND AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATION TO ISSUE A STANDING ORDER TO MITCHELL HUMPHREY & CO., IN THE AMOUNT OF $51,860.00, FOR FY2002-2003, RENEWABLE ANNUALLY, FOR PROVISION OF CITY- WIDE MAINTENANCE OF THE CITY'S FMSII ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE. WHEREAS, the standing order for Mitchell Humphrey & Co. to provide City-wide maintenance of the City's FMSII accounting software expires on September 30, 2002; and WHEREAS, Mitchell Humphrey & Co. is a provider of City-wide maintenance services for the City's FMSII accounting software; and WHEREAS, Mitchell Humphrey & Co. has been providing this maintenance service to the City for the past sixteen (16) years and the City will continue to use it throughout FY2002-2003. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Commission waive, by 5/7ths vote, the formal bid process, finding such waiver to be in the best interest of the City, and authorize the Administration to issue a standing order to Mitchell Humphrey & Co., in the amount of $51,860.00, for FY2002-2003, renewable annually, for provision of City-wide maintenance for the City's FMSII accounting software.
