A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT OF
AGREEMENT WITH STRESAU, SMITH AND STEWARD,
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS, TO PROVIDE FOR
ADDITIONAL RANGE OF CONSTRUCTION COSTS
AND CORRESPONDING FEES.
WHEREAS, the construction costs for the North Shore
Open Space Park have exceeded those estimated when the original
contract with Stresau, Smith and Steward, landscape architects,
was entered into December 6, 1972, and
WHEREAS, in order to properly administer the contract
in accordance with the plan submitted to the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, it is necessary to amend that section of
the original contract which sets forth Stresau, Smith and Steward,
landscape architects ' , fee as a percentage of the cost of construc-
tion, and
WHEREAS, an appropriate amendment to the agreement with
Stresau, Smith and Steward, landscape architects, has been pre-
pared and has been approved as to form by the City Attorney, a copy
of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended to the City
Council that said amendment to the agreement be entered into, and

WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
deems it in the best interest of the City and its residents to
enter into said amendment to the agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute
and deliver the said amendment to the agreement for and in the
name of the City of Miami Beach, Florida.
