A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
AGREEMENT BETWEEN BEYER, BLINDER AND BELL
AND THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH FOR PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES TO BE RENDERED IN COORDINATING
VARIOUS BUILDING PROJECTS AND ESTABLISHING
DESIGN CRITERION FOR THE PUBLIC OPEN SPACES
WITHIN THE AREA DESIGNATED AS THE MIAMI
BEACH CIVIC AND CONVENTION CENTER.
WHEREAS , the City of Miami Beach deems it necessary
to have coordination and uniform design in the Civic and
Convention Center, and
WHEREAS , to accomplish said coordination and uniformity,
it is necessary to retain appropriate professional services , and
WHEREAS , an appropriate agreement with Beyer, Blinder
and Bell has been prepared and has been approved as to form by
the City Attorney, providing for said professional services, the
terms and conditions of which are set forth in the said agreement,
a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and
WHEREAS , the City Manager has recommended to the City
Council that said Agreement be entered into, and
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
deems it to be in the best interest of the City and its residents
to enter into said Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute
and deliver the said Agreement for and in the name of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida; and that the financial officers of the
City be and they are hereby authorized and directed to make the
disbursements called for in accordance with the provisions of
said Agreement.
