RESOLUTION NO. 74-14424
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, REQUESTING THE
MIAMI BEACH HOUSING AUTHORITY TO MAKE
APPLICATION TO HUD FOR RENT SUBSIDY FUNDS.
WHEREAS , there is a need for public housing for the
poor ; and
WHEREAS, it is advantageous to the community that the
disadvantaged not be isolated in one place; and
WHEREAS , the present administration in Washington is
willing to make rent subsidies that would result in an increased
expenditure of money in the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH:
That the Miami Beach Housing Authority be requested to
make application to Hud for rent subsidy funds.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 17th day of July, 1974 .
