A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
AGREEMENT WITH DADE COUNTY EXTENDING AGREE-
MENT ENTERED WITH DADE COUNTY UNDER THE
PROVISIONS OF THE FEDERAL MENTAL HEALTH ACT.
WHEREAS , DADE COUNTY and CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered
into an agreement on May 5, 1971, under the provisions of City
of Miami Beach Resolution No . 13278, providing for the utilization
of Federal aid under the Federal Comprehensive Drug Abuse Program,
and
WHEREAS , said agreement provides CITY OF MIAMI BEACH with
three staff members at the cost and expense of the Program, and
WHEREAS , DADE COUNTY has requested that said agreement
be formally approved and extended for the years 1973-1974, and
for the years 1974-1975, and
WHEREAS , it is in the best interests of the City of
Miami Beach and its residents that said agreement be extended for
the said years, and
WHEREAS , the City Manager has recommended the granting
of said approval;
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH , FLORIDA, that the existing agreement
hereinabove referred to be and the same is hereby approved,
ratified, confirmed and extended for the years 1973-1974 , and
for the years 1974-1975 , on the same terms and provisions as set
forth in the original agreement.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 7th day of August , 1974 .
