WHITEWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described Improvement is
hereby ordered to be made; the City Council hereby setting forth
its intention to proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the City
Charter :
WW-151 Both sides of West fifty-First (W. 51st) Street
from Alton Road to Pine Tree Drive
To be improved with a whiteway lighting system
of ornamental posts and lamps at approximately
one hundred eighty (180) feet apart on each
side together with necessary transformers
and other appurtenances and with underground
connections for lighting.
As said Street, Road and Drive are shown on
Plats recorded in Plat Book nine (9) page
one hundred fifty-eight (158) ; Plat Book
fourteen (14) page forty-two (42) ; Plat
Book twenty-seven (27) page five (5) of
the Public Records of Dade County, Florida.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with
the City Clerk, plans and specifications of said Improvement and
an estimate of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost
of the expenses of preliminary and other surveys, the inspection
and superintendence of the work, the preparation of plans and
specifications and estimates, the printing and publication of
notices and proceedings, the preparation of bonds, interest during
construction, legal services, abstracts, etc. , and any other expenses
necessary and proper in conducting the proceedings and work herein
provided for ; and the estimated amount to be assessed against each
front foot of abutting property.
The property against which assessments are to be made for the cost
of such Improvement is hereby designated as District WW-151 and is
described as follows :
All of the lots or parcels of land abutting
West Fifty-First Street from Alton Road to
Pine Tree Drive.
This Improvement shall be designated in all proceedings , assessments
and bonds as Whiteway Improvement WW-151, and the property against
which assessments therefor may be made for the cost thereof shall
be designated as District WW-151.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 7th day of August , A.D. 1974 .
