RESOLUTION NO. 74-14475
A RESOLUTION CREATING BUDGET ADVISORY
COMMITTEE COMPRISED OF SEVEN MEMBERS,
WITH EACH COUNCILMAN MAKING ONE
APPOINTMENT THERETO , SETTING FORTH
DUTIES OF THE SAME.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1 . That a City of Miami Beach Budget Advisory Committee
be and the same is hereby appointed. Said Committee
shall be composed of seven (7) duly qualified and registered
voters of the City, qualified to perform and execute the duties
and responsibilities conferred upon them hereby. Each Council-
man shall nominate and designate one (1) member thereto. The
terms of office of each member shall expire with that of the
Councilman who has appointed the particular member to said
Committee.
SECTION 2. That the Budget Advisory Committee shall elect one
of its members as Chairman, who shall serve at the
will of the members . All members of the Budget Advisory Committee
shall serve without pay, but they shall be entitled to be
reimbursed by the City for their actual expenses .
SECTION 3. It shall be the duty of the City Manager to
furnish members of the Budget Advisory Committee with

a copy of any proposed budget, or amendments thereto, prepared
and submitted by the City Manager.
SECTION 4 . It shall be the duty of the Budget Advisory Committee
to advise the City Council to examine, study, review,
and consider said proposed budgets , and any amendments thereto.
For that purpose, the Budget Advisory Committee shall examine
any and all proposed expenditures therein; the amounts appropriated
therefor; the probable amount of estimated revenue and receipts ,
and all other facts necessary or convenient to enable said
Committee to make recommendations to the City Council.
SECTION 5. Said recommendations of the said Committee as sub-
mitted to the City Council shall be purely recommenda-
tory and advisory only, and shall be supplied to the City Council
from time to time as may be determined by the said Committee or
as requested by the City Council.
