RESOLUTION NO. 74-14483
A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION 73-14180
TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE PUR-
CHASE OF POLICE RADIO EQUIPMENT.
WHEREAS , the City of Miami Beach City Council duly
passed Resolution No. 73-14180 on November 7, 1973, authorizing
the expenditure of funds not in excess of $3 , 200 for the purchase
of sixteen five-channel VHF personal portable radios under a Law
Enforcement Assistance Administration Act; and
WHEREAS , the cost to the City of Miami Beach for said
radios has increased to $3, 300 and the number of radios to be
delivered is to be reduced by one for a total of fifteen; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended to City
Council that the additional $100 be allocated for this purchase;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council still deems it to be in the
best interest of the City of Miami Beach, its residents and
employees , that said radio equipment be purchased.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that Resolution No. 73-14180
be and the same is hereby amended by deleting the figure $3, 200
and substituting the figure $3 , 300 therefor, as the total cost
which is not to be exceeded, and that delivery of fifteen radio
sets be approved.
