A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF AGREEMENT WITH
THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS
PROVIDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH UNDER THE COMMUNITY SERVICE
ACT OF 1974.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach has duly made appli-
cation to the State of Florida Department of Community Affairs
for a grant of Fifty Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($50, 000. 00)
pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 74-166, Laws of Florida,
providing financial assistance to the City of Miami Beach for
Community Services as therein delineated, and
WHEREAS , said Department has offered to grant to the
City, the sum of Forty-five Thousand and no/100 Dollars
($45, 000. 00) pursuant to said application, conditioned, however,
upon the execution and delivery by the City of Miami Beach of
an agreement with the said Department of Community Affairs as
set forth by the terms and provisions of said grant, and
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
is familiar with the terms and provisions of said required
agreement and deems it to be in the best interest of the City
and its inhabitants to execute and deliver said agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute
and deliver said agreement and that the proper officers of the
City be and they are hereby authorized and directed to comply
with the terms and the provisions thereof.
