Resolution 74-14501 RESOLUTION NO. 74-14501 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENTS WITH FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE , LODGE NO. 8; MIAMI BEACH EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION, INC. ; AND, MIAMI BEACH MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES LOCAL UNION NO. 1554 , AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE , COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES , AFL-CIO. WHEREAS , the City Manager has submitted for the con- sideration of the City Council of the City of Miami Beach proposed agreements by and between the City of Miami Beach and the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge No. 8 , the Miami Beach Employees Association, Inc. , and the Miami Beach Municipal Employees Local Union No. 1554 , American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO, and setting forth certain provisions concerning wages , hours and other terms and conditions of employment affecting the classes of employees set forth in said agreements, and WHEREAS , the City Manager has recommended that the City enter into and execute said agreements , and WHEREAS , the City Council is familiar with the terms and provisions of said proposed agreements and finds and determines that the entry into and the execution thereof for and in the name of the City of Miami Beach is in the best interest of the City of Miami Beach and its residents , and WHEREAS , the City Attorney has approved the same as to form and the legal import thereof. NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of Miami Beach be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreements in the name of and on behalf of the City of Miami Beach, and that the financial officers of the City be and they are hereby directed to make the disbursements called for by said agreements from funds of the City available for such purpose.
