A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
AN AGREEMENT WITH MTI SCHOOL INC. TO PROVIDE
TRAINING AND COUNSELING SERVICES FOR CERTAIN
CETA SUBSIDIZED PARTICIPANTS, TO BE FUNDED BY
CETA TITLE IIB.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach is, or in the near future will be,
party to a contract with the South Florida Employment and Training Consortium,
providingfor the performance of certain services, known as Title IIB Clerical Jobs
Training, and
WHEREAS, the proposal by the City to the Consortium, includes
provision for Training and Services to be provided by MTI School Inc. (MTI), and
WHEREAS, the proposal to provide such services by the City and MTI was
appropriately selected by the Consortium, and
WHEREAS, an appropriate agreement has been prepared which provides
for payment to MTI to the extent that the City receives funds from the Consortium in
account of said project, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended that the City enter into
said agreement, and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has approved same as to form and legal
sufficiency;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are hereby
authorized to execute said agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto, for and on
behalf of the City of Miami Beach.
