A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA
APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE REVISED
POLICY HANDBOOK FOR THE COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT MULTI-UNIT RESIDENTIAL
REHABILITATION PROGRAM AND AUTHO-
RIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS
ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AS NECESSARY
TO CARRY OUT THE PURPOSES OF THE
REHABILITATION PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach has included in its
Community Development Block Grant Program application, a program
designed to assist in the rehabilitation of privately owned multi-unit
residential properties; and
WHEREAS, to insure the uniform and unbiased treatment of all
applicants that participate in the program, the City Commission of the
City of Miami Beach adopted the Policy Handbook for the program on
March 18, 1981 by Resolution Number 81-16603 and established a Loan
Review Committee for the program; and
WHEREAS, the Loan Review Committee has reviewed all
matters related to the implementation of the program and has recommend-
ed that certain revisions to the Policy Handbook be adopted by the City
Commission to insure conformity between the policies and procedures of
the program; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it to be in the best
interests for the health and safety of the citizens of Miami Beach that the
revised Policy Handbook be adopted; and
WHEREAS, the Community Development Multi-Unit Resi-
dential Rehabilitation Program Handbook (revised) is attached hereto and
made a part hereof;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the
Community Development Multi-Unit Residential Rehabilitation Program
Policy Handbook as revised is hereby approved and adopted;
BE IT ALSO DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City
Clerk of the City of Miami Beach are hereby authorized and directed to
execute Standard Form of Agreements as set forth as Appendix E in the
Policy Handbook on behalf of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, with
private lending institutions and property owners as necessary to carry out
the purposes of the rehabilitation program.
