A RESOLUTION CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON
RECOMMENDATION OF THE PLANNING BOARD TO AMEND
ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1891, PROVIDING FOR TOWNHOME ,
RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT AS A PERMITTED USE IN
THE PLANNED UNIT RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT (PUD)
DISTRICT AND IN THE FOLLOWING MULTIPLE FAMILY
DISTRICTS: RM-14 LOW DENSITY, RM-24 MEDIUM LOW
DENSITY, RM-60 MEDIUM DENSITY; PROVIDING FOR THE
CREATION OF A NEW SECTION 25 ENTITLED TOWNHOME
RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS AND, PROVIDING
FOR A NEW TERM AND DEFINITION FOR TOWNHOME
RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT.
WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Miami Beach, at
a public hearing held on September 24, 1981, unanimously approved proposed
amendments to the City's Zoning Ordinance No. 1891 concerning: Section
3-2; Section 6; and the creation of Section 25 providing for Townhome Resi-
dential Development Regulations.
WHEREAS, said action of the Planning Board has been duly
transmitted to the City Commission pursuant to Section 16 of said Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a Public Hearing for consideration
of the aforementioned proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance is hereby
called to be held before the City Commission in its Chambers on the Third
Floor of City Hall, 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida
beginning at 3:00 p.m. on the 6th day of January, 1982, and the
City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish appropriate Public
Notice of said Public Hearing to be published in a newspaper of general
circulation in the City of Miami Beach, at which time and place all interested
parties will be heard.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 25th day of November, 1981.
