A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA TO APPROPRIATE THE
AMOUNT OF $30 ,329 . 09 FROM THE 1973 CONVENTION
CENTER FUND ACCOUNT TO PAY THE ATTORNEYS ' FEES
FOR THE CONDEMNATION OF THE PARCEL OF LAND COM-
PLETING THE CONVENTION CENTER COMPLEX WHICH WAS
THE SUBJECT OF THE CASE OF "CITY OF MIAMI BEACH
V. BROIDA AND HOROWITZ AS PERSONAL REPRESENTA-
TIVES , CASE NO. 74-6260 CA 10" .
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach condemned a parcel of
land to complete the Convention Center complex in the case of City
of Miami Beach v. Broida and Horowitz as Personal Representatives,
(Case No. 74-6260) ; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach is obligated to pay the
attorney fees for such condemnation; and
WHEREAS , the condemnees ' attorneys have offered to settle
the amount of such fees as follows :
Stanley Bartel, Esq. $22 ,500 . 00
Costs 3 ,945 . 34
Andrew Schuster , Esq. 3 , 400 . 00
Costs 483 .75
TOTAL $30 , 329 .09
WHEREAS , the City of Miami Beach administration reports
that the fees may be paid from the 1973 Convention Center Fund ac-
count;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of
the City of Miami Beach, Florida that the amount of $30 ,329 . 09 be
appropriated from the 1973 Convention Center Fund account to pay the
attorney fees for the condemnation of the parcel of land completing
the Convention Center complex which was the subject of the above-
cited case.
