A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE ORANGE BOWL
COMMITTEE ON THE 1982 ORANGE BOWL FESTIVITIES
WHEREAS , through their superlative performance in public
relations the Orange Bowl Committee has generated interest ,
attention, and exhilarating enthusiasm in the programming pre-
pared for the Greater Miami area during the holiday season, and
WHEREAS , the focusing of national attention on the series
of events taking place here through the auspices of the Orange
Bowl Committee has been of tremendous benefit commecially, not
only in its stimulation of the economy but in the interest it
has encouraged in the entire area , and
WHEREAS , the City of Miami Beach welcomes the efforts of
the Orange Bowl Committee , and wishes to commend them for their
dedication and achievements ,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this expression of appre-
ciation be extended to the Orange Bowl Committee on behalf of
Mayor Norman Ciment and the City Commission, City Manager
Harold T. Toal , the Administration of the City of Miami Beach,
and its grateful and appreciative citizens .
PASSED and ADOPTED this 6th day of January, 1982 .
