A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH
AND THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF VETERAN
AND COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR THE RECEIPT OF A
LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING ASSISTANCE
PROGRAM GRANT
WHEREAS, on September 16, 1981, the City Commission via
Resolution No. 81-16771 authorized the City Manager to prepare an application
requesting financial assistance under the State of Florida's Local Government
Comprehensive Planning Act Assistance Fund Program; and
WHEREAS, on October 26, 1981, the City was officially notified
that its application for financial assistance under the Local Government
Comprehensive Planning Act Assistance Fund Program was selected to receive
a maximum grant award of $20,000; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach is desirous to enter into
an agreement with the State of Florida Department of Veteran and Community Affairs
for the purpose of supporting comprehensive planning studies.
NOW, TEHREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk be and
they are hereby authorized to execute said agreement for and on behalf
of the City of Miami Beach.
