Resolution 82-16890 RESOLUTION NO. 82-16890
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE SAN DIEGO CHARGERS
WHEREAS, the San Diego Chargers , in the highest and finest
tradition of athlethic competition, focused the limelight of their
fame on the Greater Miami area, and therefore on the City of Miami
Beach, and
WHEREAS, through their great performance and competitive spirit
they brought interest and excitement not only to the City but within
the City as well , stimulating commerce , generating activity and
creating goodwill , and
WHEREAS, it was a pleasure to welcome the San Diego Chargers to
this City and to observe the skill and the dedication with which
they performed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this expression of appre-
ciation be extended to the San Diego Chargers on behalf of Mayor
Norman Ciment and the City Commission, City Manager Harold T. Toal ,
the Administration of the City of Miami Beach and its grateful and
appreciative citizens .
