A RESOLUTION WAIVING THE $1 . 00 PER DAY GUEST FEE
AT THE MIAMI BEACH YOUTH CENTER FOR PARTICIPANTS
IN THE FIRST ANNUAL INVITATIONAL TEAM ICE SKATING
COMPETITION ON APRIL 2 , 3, AND 4 , 1982 .
WHEREAS, the Ice Skating Institute of America has
endorsed an amateur event in the interest of recreational
ice skating to be held in Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, invitations to thirty-five ice skating clubs
from New York, Virginia, North and South Carolina, Texas,
Tennessee, Louisiana, Georgia, Mississippi, and Florida will
be sent, and
WHEREAS , up to 200 amateur skaters will be able to
compete in seven divisions and earn medals for first, second
and third places;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, that participants in this competition
be permitted free entry to the Youth Center on April 2 , 3 , and 4 ,
1982 .
PASSED and ADOPTED this 20th day of January, 1982 .
