A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, REQUESTING THE DADE COUNTY
COMMISSION, THE FLORIDA STATE LEGISLATURE AND THE
STATE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES TO SUPPORT
FUNDING FROM "SAVE OUR COAST" FUNDS FOR THE ACQUI-
SITION OF THE PROPERTY KNOWN AS LOT 9 , AMENDED PLAT
OF FIRST OCEANFRONT SUBDIVISION ACCORDING TO THE
PLAT THEREOF, AS RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 9 AT PAGE 78
OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA; EX-
TENDING EASTERLY TO THE ESTABLISHED HARBOR BULKHEAD
LINE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA; AND TO RE-
QUEST THAT THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH PROCEED WITH APPLICATIONS TO THE STATE FOR
ACQUISITION OF SAID PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach is concerned with providing
its citizens with open-space and recreational areas; and
WHEREAS , the described property would provide essential
entrance and egress to the new boardwalk which will shortly be construc-
ted; and
WHEREAS, the described property would increase parking facili-
ties for the recreational areas of the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Dade County Commission, the
Florida State Legislature and the State Department of Natural Resources
be requested to support funding from "Save Our Coast" funds for the acqu:
sition of the property known as Lot 9 , Amended Plat of First Oceanfront
Subdivision According to the Plat Thereof, as Recorded in Plat Book 9
at Page 78 of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida; Extending
Easterly to the Established Harbor Bulkhead Line of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida; and to request that the Administration of the City of
Miami Beach proceed with applications to the State for acquisition of
said property.
