A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON
RECOMMENDATION OF THE PLANNING BOARD TO AMEND
ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1891 MODIFYING THE PROVISIONS
OF THE C-1, NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT, AND
THE C-5, GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT, TO PROHIBIT
THE GROUND FLOOR LOCATION OF OFFICES AND CLINICS
ON WASHINGTON AVENUE.
WHEREAS, the Planning Board, of the City of Miami Beach,
at a public hearing held on December 17, 1981, approved proposed amendments
to the City's Zoning Ordinance No. 1891 concerning: Section 6-8, C-1,
Neighborhood Business District, and Section 6-12, C-5 General Business
District Regulations.
WHEREAS, said action of the Planning Board has been duly
transmitted to the City Commission pursuant to Section 16 of said Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a Public Hearing for consideration
of the aforementioned proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance is hereby
called to be held before the City Commission in its Chambers on the Third
Floor of City Hall, 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida
beginning at 3:00 p.m. on the 3rd day of March , 1982, and the City
Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish appropriate Public Notice
of said Public Hearing to be published in a newspaper of general circulation
in the City of Miami Beach, at which time and place all interested parties
will be heard.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of February , 1982.
