A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH ADOPTING THE LINCOLN
ROAD REVITALIZATION PLAN.
WHEREAS, the Lincoln Road Revitalization Plan (August, 1981)
was prepared by the Planning Division of the Economic Development Department
in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce's Lincoln Road Steering Committee,
the Lincoln Road Mercantile Association and other interested citizens;
and
WHEREAS, the objective of the Lincoln Road Revitalization
Plan is to provide a unified revitalization plan which combines new public
improvements with strategies to stimulate significant new private investment
in the Lincoln Road area; and
WHEREAS, the Miami Beach Planning Board at its meeting on
November 19, 1982 recommended adoption of the Lincoln Road Revitalization
Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of Miami Beach on February
17, 1982 conducted a public hearing on the Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the LIncoln Road Revitalization Plan
is hereby adopted, and the Administration is hereby directed to initiate
the necessary actions to implement the recommendations contained therein.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of March , 1982.
