A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FURTHER EXTENSION OF
AN AGREEMENT WITH AMERI FIRST FEDERAL SAVINGS &
LOAN ASSOCIATION, FORMERLY KNOWN AS FIRST
FEDERAL SAVINGS & LOAN ASSOCIATION OF MIAMI ,
FOR USE OF PARKING SPACES IN OFF-STREET PARKING
AREA 24B (71ST STREET AND RUE VENDOME) , FROM
JANUARY 1, 1982 TO DECEMBER 31, 1982.
WHEREAS , the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach,
by its Resolution No. 79-15813, passed and adopted the 17th day of
January, 1979 , did authorize the execution of an Agreement with
First Federal Savings & Loan Association of Miami , now known as
Ameri First Federal Savings & Loan, for the use of parking spaces
in Off-Street Parking Lot 248 (71st Street and Rue Vendome) for a
period of one year; and
WHEREAS , the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach,
by its Resolution No. 81-16531, authorized an extension of the
above-mentioned Agreement for a period from January 1, 1981, to
December 31, 1981; and
WHEREAS, during the period that the aforesaid extension
of said Agreement was in effect, Ameri First Federal Savings & Loan
had performed all services specified in said Agreement in a totally
satisfactory manner ; and
WHEREAS , the further extension of said Agreement provides
that the bank shall have the use of five (5) off-street parking
spaces for the one-year period from January 1, 1982, through
December 31, 1982, upon the terms, conditions, and provisions set
forth therein; and
WHEREAS , the City Commission deems it to be in the best
interest of the City that such further agreement extension be
entered into by and between the City and said bank; and
WHEREAS , the City Attorney has prepared an appropriate
agreement of extension containing such terms, conditions, and pro-
visions with which the City Commission is familiar;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMIS-
SION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the
City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to exe-
cute the said Agreement extension for and on behalf of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida.
