RESOLUTION NO. 82-16960
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE
AMENDMENT WITH THE JEWELERS INTERNATIONAL
SHOWCASE, INC. FOR THE USE OF THE SOUTH HALL
OF THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER ON
JANUARY 13-19 , 1983.
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease
agreement with
JEWELERS INTERNATIONAL SHOWCASE, INC.
-hereinafter referred to as LESSEE, said agreement having been
approved by the City Commission on
BY COMMISSION ON OCTOBER 15 , 1981.
for use of certain premises and facilities of the City of Miami
Beach, to wit:
SOUTH HALL OF THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER
for the event known as:
FINE JEWELRY AND DIAMOND SHOW
on CHANGE OF DATES AND REDUCED SHOW DATES
FROM 4 TO 3 .
and
WHEREAS, said LESSEE has requested an amendment to said
agreement as set forth in Commission Memorandum No. 184-82 , a copy
of which is included in the agenda for the meeting at which this
Resolution was adopted, and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the existing
agreement shall remain the same, and
WHEREAS, an appropriate Amendment to Agreement, signed
by the said LESSEE and approved as to form and legal sufficiency
by the City Attorney, is attached hereto and made a part hereof,
the provisions of which are familiar to the City Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Amendment to the exist-
ing lease agreement as set forth in said Commission Memorandum be
and the same is hereby accepted and approved, and the Mayor and
City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to ex-
ecute said Amendment to Agreement in the name of and on behalf of
the CITY.

APPROVED:
AMENDMENT Change of dates and reduced show dates from 4 to 3.
PURPOSE:
REASON: To accommodate another lessee.
RATE: Lessee hereby covenants and agrees to pay the rental
rates which will prevail in 1983, as approved by the
City Commission subject to the following minimum rentals
on the above scheduled shows:
35 per square foot sold with minimum guarantee of
$7,500.00.
RECOMMENDATION: APPROVE
