A RESOLUTION CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON
RECOMMENDATION OF THE PLANNING BOARD TO AMEND
ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1891 IN ORDER TO PROVIDE FOR
ADULT CONGREGATE LIVING FACILITIES TO BE LOCATED AS
CONDITIONAL USES IN THE PLANNED UNIT RESIDENTIAL
DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT, RM-60, RM-100, AND RM-125,
MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS.
WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Miami Beach at its
meeting on March 23, 1982, following a public hearing on February 23, 1982,
approved proposed amendments to the City's Zoning Ordinance No. 1891
concerning: Section 3-2, Definition of Adult Congregate Living Facility; Section 6,
inclusion of Adult Congregate Living Facilities as conditional uses in the PUD,
Planned Unit Development District; RM-60, RM-100, and RM-125, Multiple Family
Residential Districts; and Section 9-2, Parking for ACLF's; and
WHEREAS, said action of the Planning Board has been duly
transmitted to the City Commission pursuant to Section 16 of said Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a Public Hearing
for consideration of the aforementioned proposed amendments to the Zoning
Ordinance is hereby called to be held before the City Commission in its Chambers
on the Third Floor of City Hall, 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach,
Florida beginning at4:00 p.m. on the 5th day of May , 1982, and the City Clerk is
hereby authorized and directed to publish appropriate Public Notice of said Public
Hearing to be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Miami
Beach, at which time and place all interested parties will be heard.
