RESOLUTION NO. 82-16973
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, TO APPROPRIATE THE
AMOUNT OF $15,753. 44 FROM THE 1973 CONVENTION
CENTER BOND FUND ACCOUNT TO PAY THE CITY'S
ATTORNEY FEES AND COSTS FOR CONDEMNATION OF THE
PARCEL OF LAND COMPLETING THE CONVENTION
CENTER COMPLEX WHICH WAS THE SUBJECT OF THE
CASE OF "CITY OF MIAMI BEACH V. BROIDA AND
HOROWITZ AS PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVES . "
WHEREAS , the City of Miami Beach condemned a parcel of
land to complete the Convention Center complex in the case of City
of Miami Beach v. Broida and Horowitz as Personal Representatives;
and
WHEREAS , the City of Miami Beach is obligated to pay the
attorney fees and costs for such condemnation; and
WHEREAS , the Convention Center Fund is to pay from its
account the City' s and condemnee' s expert witness fees, attorney
fees, and costs; and
WHEREAS , the City of Miami Beach administration reports
that the fees may be paid from the 1973 Convention Center Bond Fund
account;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the amount of $15, 753 . 44 be
appropriated from the 1973 Convention Center Bond Fund account to
pay the City' s attorney fees and costs for the condemnation of the
parcel of land completing the Convention Center complex which was
the subject of the above-cited case.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 6th day of April, 1982.
