RESOLUTION NO. 82-16987
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING THE
PAYMENT OF ATTORNEY FEES FROM THE
CONTINGENCY FUND TO MR. LOUIS PHILLIPS
FOR HIS LEGAL SERVICES IN THE BANKRUPTCY
PROCEEDINGS INVOLVING MARION RECREATION
CORPORATION. (AMOUNT $8 ,555 . 21)
WHEREAS, the City Attorney hired the law firm of
Phillips and Phillips , P.A. , experts in bankruptcy law, to
represent the City in bankruptcy proceedings against Marion
Recreation Corporation; and
WHEREAS, the City obtained a favorable settlement in
this matter ; and
WHEREAS, the attorney fees of Mr . Louis Phillips for his
work in this matter amounted to $8,555 . 21.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the amount of $8 ,555 . 21 be
appropriated from the Contingency Fund to pay the attorney fees of
Mr . Louis Phillips for the legal services he rendered in the
bankruptcy proceedings involving Marion Recreation Corporation.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 21st day of April , 1982 .
