A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING THE USE OF
THE COLONY THEATER FOR PRESENTATION OF AN
ISRAELI FILM FESTIVAL TO COMMEMORATE THE
MOVING OF THE ISRAELI CONSULATE FROM ATLANTA TO
MIAMI .
WHEREAS , Temple Beth Sholom of Greater Miami , the Miami
Beach Development Corporation and the America-Israel Chamber of
Commerce, desire to organize and present a five day Israeli film
festival in the Colony Theater on the evenings of May 18 through
May 20 , May 22 , and 23 and the afternoon of May 23 , 1982; and
WHEREAS , the City Commission approves the use of the
Colony Theater for the above-mentioned purposes providing the cost
to the City shall not exceed $5,000 . 00 and adequate insurance is
obtained to protect the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMIS-
SION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Commission
gives its permission to Temple Beth Sholom of Greater Miami , the
Miami Beach Development Corporation and the America-Israel Chamber
of Commerce to use the Colony Theater on the evenings of May 18
through May 20 , May 22 , and 23 and the afternoon of May 23 , 1982 ,
for presentation of an Israeli film festival, provided as follows:
1 . The total City costs of such support does not exceed
$5,000 .00.
2. The City Manager approves all City expenditures for
this function.
3. Adequate insurance exists or is acquired to protect
the City from liability arising from or connected this function.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of May , 1982.
