A RESOLUTION CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON
RECOMMENDATION OF THE PLANNING BOARD TO
AMEND ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1891 IN ORDER TO
AMEND THE DEFINITION OF NURSING AND CONVALEKENT
OR EXTENDED CARE HOMES AND CREATE A N.H. DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Miami Beach at its meeting
on April 27, 1982, following public hearings held on February 23, 1982 and April 27, 1982,
approved proposed amendments to the City's Zoning Ordinance No. 1891 amending Section
3-2, Definition of Nursing and Convalescent or Extended Care Homes; and creating Section
6-20, NH Nursing Home District.
WHEREAS, said action of the Planning Board has been duly transmitted to
the City Commission pursuant to Section 16 of said Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a Public Hearing for consideration of the
aforementioned proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance is hereby called to be held
before the City Commission in its Chambers on the Third Floor of City Hall, 1700
Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida beginning at 3 p.m. on the7thday of July,
1982, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish appropriate Public
Notice of said Public Hearing to be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the
City of Miami Beach, at which time and place all interested parties will be heard.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 19th day of May , 1982.
