A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, PERMITTING
THE LINCOLN ROAD MERCANTILE ASSOCIATION TO
DISPLAY FOR SALE THEIR RETAIL GOODS ON THE
SIDEWALKS AND MALL AREAS OF LINCOLN ROAD
ON JUNE 26 , 1982 FROM ALTON ROAD EAST TO
THE LINCOLN ROAD BEACH FRONT STREET END FOR
THE PURPOSE OF HOLDING A ONE- DAY FLEA
MARKET AND FESTIVAL.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, has a desire to promote the very fine retail
establishments on Lincoln Road; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has a continuing
interest in promoting the image, establishments and activities
on Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission believes that a Flea
Market and Festival to be held on Lincoln Road is consistent
with their desire to promote Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, a Flea Market and Festival on Lincoln Road
would be in the interest of the City as a whole by providing
positive activities for City residents, tourists and greater
Miami residents,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that
permission is hereby granted by the City Commission of Miami
Beach, Florida, to the Lincoln Road Mercantile Association to
hold a one- day Flea Market and Festival on June 26 , 1982, on
Lincoln Road from Alton Road East to the Lincoln Road Beach
Front Street end.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 16th day of June ,
1982.
