A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, RETROACTIVELY
APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ACCEPT DONATIONS FROM T- MOBILE USA INC., IN THE
TOTAL AMOUNT OF $5,000, IN SUPPORT OF THE CITY'S
PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT'S 2017 SENIORS'
HOLIDAY PARTY.
WHEREAS, each year, the City of Miami Beach's (the "City ") Parks and Recreation
Department hosts a wide range of events and programs throughout Miami Beach, in order to
engage and educate the community, and to provide opportunities for recreation and family
enjoyment; and
WHEREAS, in December 2017, the Park and Recreation Department hosted a Seniors'
Holiday Party; and
WHEREAS, this event offered attendees an evening of food, fun, and entertainment;
and
WHEREAS, City staff worked diligently to identify funding sources to offset the costs of
producing this event, and secured a partnership through donations from T- Mobile USA Inc., and
WHEREAS, the Administration recommends the retroactive approval and acceptance of
the donation, in the total amount of $5,000, from the above -named sponsor for the December
2017 Seniors' Holiday Party.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Commission hereby retroactively approve and authorize the City Manager to accept donations
from T- Mobile USA Inc., in the total amount of $5,000, in support of the December 2017
Seniors' Holiday Party.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 7th day of March, 2018.

ANALYSIS
Each year, the City of Miami Beach (the "City ") Parks and Recreation Department hosts a wide

community, and to provide opportunities for recreation and family enjoyment.
In December 2017, the Park and Recreation Department hosted a Seniors' Holiday Party offering
attendees an evening of food, fun, and entertainment. City staff worked diligently to identify funding

T- Mobile USA Inc.
CONCLUSION
The City Administration recommends the City Commission authorize the City Manager, or his
designee, to retroactively approve and accept the donation, in the total amount of $5,000, from T-
Mobile USA Inc. for the December 2017 Seniors' Holiday Party.
