A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH FRANK B. HALL
& COMPANY, INSURANCE AGENT, WITH RESPECT TO THE
CITY'S AETNA INSURANCE POLICY.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1 LEGISLATIVE PURPOSE
Section 624. 428 Fla. Stat. (1981) provides that no insurer may un-
derwrite an insurance policy in the State of Florida unless the ap-
plication and contract is made through an insurance agent duly
licensed in Florida. Pursuant to the attached agreement, Frank B.
Hall & Company has been selected by Aetna Life Insurance & Casualty
Co. to serve as its agent, and has agreed to serve in this capacity
for a fee to the City not exceeding $250 . 00 .
SECTION 2 RESOLUTION
Therefore, based on the recommendation of the City Manager , and with
the approval of the City Attorney, the City Commission hereby autho-
rizes the City Manager to execute the attached agreement with Frank
B. Hall & Co. , subject to the provisions and terms of the agreement .
PASSED and ADOPTED this 21st day of July ,
1982 .
