RESOLUTION NO. 82-17070
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE CREA-
TION OF THE MAYOR'S AD HOC TASK FORCE ON REDE-
VELOPMENT.
SECTION 1
The City Commission finds that South Beach Redevelopment is a matter
of the highest priority to the City of Miami Beach. All persons in-
terested in the welfare of the City agree that prompt and definitive
action is needed to stimulate redevelopment , in one form or another .
The City Commission finds that a task force would be helpful to ad-
vise the Mayor and the Commission of the Redevelopment Agency' s
plans for implementation of redevelopment, and the advisability of
seeking alternative plans if no successful bidder is selected.
SECTION 2
It is hereby resolved by the City Commission of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida that the Mayor ' s ad hoc task force on Redevelopment
is created to serve as an advisory committee for a period of one
year , to commence forthwith to conduct hearings, to investigate all
redevelopment issues, and to report regularly to the Miami Beach
Mayor and City Commission. The task force shall be composed of
seven persons to be appointed by the Mayor , but shall not convene
until after August 16 , 1982 and will not convene at all if a success-
ful bidder is selected.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 21st day of July , 1982 .
