LETTER TO COMMISSION
The attached report, entitled, "City of Miami Beach Parking Utilization Trend" serves to
provide insight regarding trends in parking utilization hours over the last three (3) fiscal
years. The analysis includes the following municipal parking categories; attended garage
hours; attended lot hours; metered lot hours; metered curbside (on -street) hours; and
metered garage hours.
Please note parking utilization systemwide is trending downward. Utilization hours
decreased by 19% when comparing FY15 to FY17. During the same period, the largest
decrease in utilization hours was 36% for metered curbside hours and garages had the
lowest decline at 4.12%.
