RESOLUTION NO., 9
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
H-174 H-174
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement is
hereby ordered to be made; the City Council hereby setting
forth its intention to proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the
City Charter:
H-174 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE: From the north line of
Seventh Street to the south line of Fifteenth
Street to be paved, and where heretofore paved
to be repaved, to a width of Fifty (50) feet
with a bituminous wearing surface on a ten (10)
inch rock base, together with necessary
drainage, sewer inlets, manholes and catch
basins, and improved on both sides with a
concrete curb and gutter.
As said Avenues and Streets are shown on
Plats recorded in Plat Book 2, Page 81; Plat
Book 9, Page 70; Plat Book 4, Page 122;
Plat Book 9, Page 147; Plat Book 9, Page 69,
and Plat Book 6, Page 34 of the Public Records
of Dade County, Florida, and as said Avenue
is named and designated in Ordinance No. 232.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with
the City Clerk plans and specifications of said improvement and
an estimate of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the
cost of the expenses of preliminary and other surveys, the
inspection and superintendence of the work, the preparation of
plans and specifications and estimates, the printing and
publication of notices and proceedings, the preparation of
bonds, interest during construction, legal services, abstracts,
etc. , and any other expenses necessary and proper in conducting
the proceedings and work herein provided for; and the estimated
amount to be assessed against each front foot of abutting
property.
This Improvement shall be designated in all proceedings,
assessments and bonds as Highway Improvement H-174, and the
property against which assessments therefor may be made for
the cost thereof shall be designated as District H-174.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 17th SAY OF March A.D. 1937.
