The spring forecast calls for fun and the Parks and Recreation Department invites you to
come out and enjoy a month full of exciting events for the whole family.
Event: Learn to Swim Registrations
Date: April 2, 2018 — April 6, 2018
Time: 8:30 a.m. — 5:00 p.m.
Flamingo and Normandy Isle Park Pool, Learn to Swim class registration for
Series 1 (April 7 — April 21) begins on April 2nd. Learn to Swim prices for Miami
Beach residents is $35. All registration and payments will be handled through
Capture Point, our online registration and payment system. For more information,

normandypool.
Event: Miami Beach Teen Hip Hop Dance Team "Mauve Crew" — FCDA State
Championship Dance Tournament
Date: April 7, 2018
Location: Miami Norland Senior High School (1193 NW 193rd Street, Miami Gardens)
Our Miami Beach Teen Hip Hop Dance Team "Mauve Crew" will be participating
in the FCDA (Florida Cheer Dance Association) State Championship Dance
Tournament. The "Mauve Crew" is made up of 15 dedicated teenage girls who
attend the Teen Club program out of Nautilus Middle School.
Event: Teen Club Camping Trip
Date: April 7, 2018
Location: Peace River
The Teen Club will be taking its members to a memorable overnight canoe and camping
trip in Central Florida. Sixty teens will travel to the Peace River Canoe Outpost for a 2 -
day camping adventure. The trip is a reward for the teen's hard work and dedication in
volunteering their time to benefit the community.
Event: Special Olympics Soccer Competition
Date: April 8, 2018
Time: 8:00 a.m. — 4:00 p.m.
Location: Kendall Soccer Park (8011 SW 127th Avenue)
Our athletes from the Special Populations program will be competing in soccer in
an attempt to advance to the next round of competition.
Event: Sabrina's Adaptive Beach Days
Date: April 8 and 22, 2018
Time: 11:00 a.m. — 3:00 p.m.
Location: The beach at Allison Park (6500 Collins Avenue)
The Sabrina Cohen Foundations resumes the ever -popular Adaptive Beach Days
at the beach at Allison Park.
Event: Teen Club Theatrical Performance "IMpossible"
Date: April 13 and 14, 2018
Time: 8:00 p.m.
Location: Nautilus Middle School Auditorium (4301 N Michigan Avenue)
The Teen Club proudly presents another theatrical performance of IMpossible. Held in a
court room where teenager "Hope Reiley" is on trial for breaking society rules, this
interactive play allows audience members to choose the fate of the main character. The
performance will tackle many common societal issues while sending an inspirational
message to viewers.
Event: Senior Bingo Night
Date: April 16, 2018
Time: 6:30 p.m. — 8:00 p.m.
Location: Miami Beach Convention Center (entrance is located at 18th Street &
Washington Avenue, next to the Fillmore)
The City of Miami Beach will host the annual Senior Bingo Night where guests
will enjoy an evening of refreshments, food and fun. The event is free for seniors
and transportation will be provided from designated pick-up locations. RSVP is a
must.
Event: Summer Camp Registration Opens for Miami Beach Residents (General
Camp)
Date: April 9, 2018
Time: 8:30 a.m.
Accounts must be current to register. All registration and payments handled
through Capture Point, our online registration and payment system. You must
have completed a profile on Capture Point and confirm residency at one of our
sites (SRYC, NSPYC or FLAM) prior to the opening of online registration. To

Location: Flamingo Park (14th Street and Meridian Avenue)
Join MB Parks for a "big" night. We will have trucks and equipment from our Fire, Police,
Property Management and other departments throughout the City. General admission is
free, refreshments will be for sale.
