Resolution 4120 RESOLUTION NO. 4120 WHEREAS, the United States Coast Guard is desirous of ex- changing the present coast guard property located between 72nd and 73rd Streets, City of Miami Beach, for a location more ac- cessible to the ocean and bay, and WHEREAS, no privately owned site which is suitable for their purpose can be obtained in the desired area, and WHEREAS, Dade County has acquired an option on a privately owned site adjacent to that portion of Biscayne Street lying west- erly of Jefferson Avenue which, together with Biscayne Street, will in all probability afford a site of sufficient size and suit- able location, and are desirous of joining with the City in as- sembling a suitable tract to be used for a Life Saving Station, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that it is the sense of the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, that the City should join with the County of Dade in this worthy enterprise, and agree in consideration of and at such time as the United States Coast Guard property between 72nd and 73rd Streets of Miami Beach is conveyed to the City of Miami Beach and Dade County in such man- ner and proportion as may be mutually agreed upon between the said County and City, the said property to be dedicated to park purposes, that the City of Miami Beach will convey to the United States Coast Guard all its right, title and interest in that portion of Biscayne Street lying westerly of Jefferson Avenue, and to vacate same as a public street.
