Resolution 4286 RESOLUTION NO. 4286
WHEREAS, application was recently made to this
Council by Mr. Jack Cleary, representing the Orleans Cor-
poration, for permission to erect advertising signs on
' their island property, known as "Lummus Island" , lying
south of and paralleling the Miami City Channel, and
WHEREAS, this matter has been given due consideration,
and
WHEREAS sentiment has been repeatedly voiced by our
citizens against the erection of advertising signs of any
kind anywhere within our City,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that we do hereby go
on record as unalterably opposed to the erection of advert-
ising signs as proposed by the Orleans Corporation.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of April, A. D. , 193g.
